It is a great pleasure to welcome you in Rome for the 7th International Congress on Biotechnologies for Spinal
Surgery (BioSpine7).
The meeting focuses on the on novel biotechnologies applied to spine surgery, promoting mutual collaboration
between different specialists and scientists involved in spine field.
The main topic of the meeting is about innovative biotechnologies in spine surgery, including new
nanoscaffolds, growth factors, cell products, tissue engineering products, polymer innovation, modified metal
surfaces and new bioactive implants. Moreover, novel minimally invasive spine surgery techniques, navigation
and robotics will also be part of the exiting program of BioSpine7. Specific sessions are dedicated to debate
on hot topics in the fields such as stem cells for disc regeneration and working groups presentation for
promoting international networking.
The 7th edition of BioSpine takes place for the first time in Rome, the Eternal City. Founded nearly 3,000
years ago, the city is renowned for its ancient ruins, classical architecture, renaissance palazzos and baroque
fountains. Rome is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city and provides an elegant backdrop for the BioSpine7. As the
saying goes ‘all roads lead to Rome’ and the conference brings together delegates from all over the world
providing an abundance of scientific and networking opportunities, not to mention the chance to explore
one of the most fascinating cities on Earth. The congress venue is Auditorium Antonianum, located in heart
of Rome next to the main train station, near Colosseum and the historic and cultural areas. Auditorium
Antonianum is a historical venue as it is part of the Pontifical University.
